Job summary

The Home Depot in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Lot Associate to assist customers by loading orders into their vehicles and keeping the parking area safe and welcoming.

In this role you will follow the GET model (Greeting, Engaging, Thanking) and help maintain cart availability, ask questions to understand project needs, and ensure loading operations and safety procedures are followed in all weather and store conditions.

Responsibilities

• Loads orders into customer vehicles and maintains a safe, welcoming parking lot.
• Follow Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service (Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers).
• Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the store entrance.
• Ask open-ended questions about the customer’s projects to determine needs and level of expertise.
• Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles or shopping carts.
• Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise per Safe Loading Training.
• Follow Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures; use safety procedures with all equipment.
