The Opportunity:

As a champion and advocate for Maple Leaf Foods (MLF) and our customers, you will be responsible for developing and strengthening customer relationships, managing and growing both MLF and customer businesses, and applying your category management expertise to benefit our clients.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
  1. Achieve and surpass internal commitments related to volume, profit, and trade spend ROI.
  2. Understand customer strategies and foster strong relationships beyond transactional interactions.
  3. Drive profitable growth by leveraging sales fundamentals such as distribution, pricing, promotion, and display.
  4. Lead the full sales process, including joint business planning, negotiation, forecasting, trade fund management, and business reviews.
  5. Utilize data sources like Nielsen and IRI to diagnose business health and develop strategic selling approaches.
  6. Enhance financial understanding by managing Maple Leaf and customer P&Ls.
  7. Develop deep product and industry knowledge to serve as a trusted business consultant to customers.
  8. Exercise cross-functional leadership internally and externally by engaging resources across marketing, insights, shopper marketing, sales, finance, demand planning, and supply chain.
  9. Travel locally on a regular weekly basis; some overnight travel may be required.
  10. Set and pursue stretch targets, aiming to meet or exceed plans.
  11. Strategically grow a profitable business and strengthen customer relationships.
What You’ll Bring:
