Responsibilities
Customer Account Management:
Demonstrate ability to drive sales results & customer engagement.
- Customer accountability may range from partial accountability for one or two large accounts to full accountability for multiple small accounts.
- Lead strategic business initiatives & develop joint business plans with customers.
- Negotiate annual agreements, promo activity, listing fees, price increases & costing with customer.
- Create & present business reviews.
- Gain customer approval for in-store activation (displays, signs, etc.).
- Address retail pricing issues with customer.
- Manage routine demand and supply issues with customer.
- Handle customer communication regarding CAG policy, discounts, pricing, recalls/product quality issues, & complaints.
- Ensure new products are listed and target distribution is reached on key items.
Sales:
Utilize data and available resources to identify opportunities and prepare selling presentations.
- Deliver strong execution of new product launches both online and in-store.
- Influence shelf set via expanded distribution & positioning of Conagra Brands products including endless aisle on e-commerce (digital shelf).
- Deliver strong promotional calendar plans and execution.
Business Planning/Financial accountability:
Use sales analytics & insights to deliver customer solutions.
- Accurately forecast sales volume & trade dollars.
- Maximize trade investments and efficiencies aligned to business objectives.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate trade and shopper marketing initiatives based on insights.
- Conduct business and category analysis, developing & presenting category management solutions.
- Evaluate customer-specific reports and standardized POS reports.
Relationship Management within internal matrix organization:
- Drive alignment with Walmart’s strategic pillars, including value leadership, health-conscious offerings, digital acceleration, and retail execution.
- Lead end-to-end omni-channel activation efforts in collaboration with Commerce Marketing for cohesive shopper program execution across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Work closely with the account team and cross-functions such as Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Retail Sales, Finance & Supply Chain.
- Partner with Business Analyst & Customer Finance Manager in reporting and analytics.
- Maximize sales opportunities through perfect store execution & retail team communication.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Business administration, Commerce or related field.
- 3-5+ years of CPG (Foods) Sales/Key account management experience.
- Strong analytical skills & proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Business and financial acumen: analytics, customer P&L, trade planning.
- Proficiency in Nielsen IQ.
- Ability to make data-driven recommendations.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience managing trade spending.
- Strong report running and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization.
