Job summary

School District #63 (Saanich) is seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our facilities team as a floater. This position covers multiple schools with a 3:00pm–11:30pm shift, Monday to Friday, year-round, providing reliable after-hours custodial support.

The pay rate is CAD$27.16 per hour, with summer hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm in July and August. The incumbent must be flexible to cover day shifts when needed and to help maintain safe, clean learning environments for students and staff.

Location: Floater

Current Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday to Friday (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch). 12 months per year

Candidate must be available to cover day shifts when necessary

Summer clean-up hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm (July/August)

Grounds, Maintenance, Data Services, and Custodial employees in posted assignments will work additional time from the first day of school in September to the second Friday in May, excluding Winter Break and Spring Break. This additional time is worked in lieu of the spring closure week in order to allow employees in continuing and temporary assignments to be paid their regular pay during the spring closure week as per Letter of Understanding - Spring Closure Week.

Pay Rate: $27.16
