Job summary

Bigstone Lot 25 Corporation is seeking an experienced Custodian to join our multidisciplinary team in Alberta. The role emphasizes cleaning, sanitation, and building upkeep across facilities, with safety and reliability as core requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, WHMIS certification, and prior custodial experience. We value punctuality, the ability to follow procedures, and dependable transportation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• General janitorial and maintenance duties: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing floors and washrooms.
• Collect and dispose of trash from buildings and sanitize surfaces.
• Perform seasonal cleaning and ensure building security before leaving.

Bigstone Lot 25 Corporation is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Custodian to join our talented team. Duties and Responsibilities:

• General Janitorial and Maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing floors, washrooms, etc.
• Collect and dispose of trash from the buildings
• Sanitize surfaces: doorknobs/handles, handrails, countertops, tables, chairs, phones, other common items
• Reports observations regarding malfunctions, defects, repair and maintenance and unsafe conditions of the building, fixtures, and equipment
• Perform seasonal cleaning
• Ensuring the office building is secure prior to leaving the building

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time, etc.
• Ability to follow proper cleaning and sanitation instruction on all cleaning and equipment supplies
• Ability to follow instructions concerning various chemicals
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma is an asset
• Experience in a Custodial/Janitorial role considered an asset
• Reliable transportation
• Valid WHMIS Certification
• Paid Vacation & Sick time
• Extended Health, Dental & Vision Plan

Salary is dependent on qualifications.
