Job summary

Aramark Canada in Hydro-Québec, East James Bay, is seeking Housekeepers/Janitors for a demanding role. The job features a 70-hour week with a 15/13 rotation, plane transportation from Bagotville and Rouyn-Noranda, and meals plus private-room accommodation on site.

A valid driver’s license is required. The wage is 22.97 CAD per hour and will increase after the 300-hour probation per the collective agreement. Experience in a remote camp is an asset; WHMIS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be versatile.
• Experience working in a remote camp environment is an asset.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and basic precautions due to physical hazards and the use of hazardous chemicals.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must have strong organizational skills, be courteous, sociable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Must be able to meet operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote the safety and well-being of others.
• Clean assigned areas in accordance with Aramark and client standards and requirements.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Follow established safety regulations.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

The wage will be increased according to the collective agreement in effect after the 300-hour probationary period.

The schedule is 70 hours per week, and after 55 hours, overtime is paid at time and a half.
