Job summary

University of Ottawa is hiring Teaching Assistants for the course CSI4142 Introduction to Data Science at Main Campus. Positions are for winter 2027 with two slots and a total of 130 work hours, starting January 1 and ending April 30, 2027.

Undergraduate students earn the lower hourly rate and graduate students the higher rate. The role is in-person and requires knowledge of data warehousing, data mining, SQL and related ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: completion of this course or its equivalent with a mark of A or better.
• Attend a TA workshop if necessary.
• Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
• Excellent knowledge of data warehousing and data mining, including dimensional modelling, data staging, OLAP and SQL, data preprocessing, data mining techniques and machine learning frameworks.
