Job summary

The University of Ottawa is hiring six Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor positions for the Electrical Engineering course ELG2336 (A section) at Main Campus. Work runs January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027 with a total of 130 hours. In-person delivery and English language instruction are required.

Graduate students earn the higher rate; undergrads earn the lower rate. Compensation is hourly: CAD 33.83 for undergraduates and CAD 53.31 for graduates (Sept. 2026 – Aug.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting undergraduate labs is preferred.
• Familiarity with lab safety and course policies is desirable.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students and supervisor in person.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027) Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate. These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Minimum Requirements

• If the responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, the applicant must be available for all of these.
