The University of Ottawa is seeking a Research Assistant (CUPE) on the Main Campus for the Fall 2026 session. The role includes performing literature reviews, assisting with grant applications and budgeting, and liaising with partner organizations.

Compensation includes a defined benefit pension plan and group insurance. The contract runs from November 15, 2026 to January 31, 2027, with a total of 75 hours at hourly rates of $33.83 (undergraduates) or $53.31 (graduates) CAD.

Job Details

Location: Main Campus, Session: 2026 Fall Semester, Trimestre d'automne. Faculty: Faculté d'enseignement / Faculty of Education.

Position: Research Assistant (CUPE). Number of positions: 1.

Work Start Date: novembre 15, 2026. Work End Date: janvier 31, 2027. Total Work Hours: 75.

Hourly Rate: AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor: $33.83 or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027).

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate. These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Responsibilities & Duties

• The student will help with a literature review for a paper.
• The student will help with a grant application, including budgeting for it.
• The student will liaise with partner organizations.

Employment Conditions
