The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority is seeking a Family Preservation Worker to build trusting relationships with families involved in Child and Family Services and provide targeted supports. You will educate parents on child development and positive parenting, and deliver psycho-educational workshops to families while advocating for access to community resources.

Qualifikationen

• A Diploma in Social Work, Child Development, Youth Care or Early Childhood Education; and one (1) year of related experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals, families and communities.
• Knowledge of Child and Family Services Act, Adoptions Act and their regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Ability to work in a cross cultural environment.
• Knowledge of northern culture and environment.
