Dilico Anishinabek Family Care seeks a Cultural Wellness Mentor to lead traditional healing, teachings, and ceremonies for children, youth, and families. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team to deliver culturally grounded services that promote social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

The role requires a post-secondary education in Native Studies or related Human Services and strong knowledge of Anishinabe culture.

Qualifikationen

• Anishinabe ancestry with understanding of history, culture, ceremonies and values preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in human services involving developing and delivering cultural programming for youth.
• Experience in mental health and addictions as it relates to the Anishinabek.
• Criminal Records Search including Vulnerable Sector Search is required or will be considered.

Aufgaben

• Provide daily traditional healing, guidance, teachings, sacred circles and ceremonies for children/youth/families.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure program delivery aligns with Dilico’s philosophy and goals.
• Support wellbeing of children/youth and families through cultural activities on-site or off-site.
