Job summary

SPX Sigma-Omega Corporation in Toronto, part of SPX Technologies, is seeking a HVAC Tester to join our commercial products team on a full-time basis.

The role requires 5+ years’ experience with Commercial A/C/Rooftop Units, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and VFD/PLC programming.

You will test and troubleshoot on the assembly line, lift up to 50 lb, work overtime as needed, and join a team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Commercial Air Conditioning/Rooftop Units.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with VFD and PLC programming.
• Must lift to 50 lb and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform duties with minimal supervision.

The Opportunity

SPX Sigma-Omega Corporation is seeking a person who has experience in the HVAC industry to join our commercial products team as a HVAC Tester - HVAC Manufacturing - in a full-time position. The successful applicant should also be a responsible team-player, who is able to work individually and has strong attention to detail in performing everyday tasks.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

• Testing, Troubleshoot A/C Units (2 Ton to 90 Ton units) on assembly line
• Experience with VFD programming and PLC Wiring
• Experienced in wiring electrical panels with the use of wiring diagram and schematics
• Experienced in all aspects of Commercial A/C Units
• Meet quality compliance requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment with Safety First in mind
• Flexibility to work overtime, and Saturday.
• Perform repetitive work in a manufacturing environment, frequently required to walk, reach, bend, or lift materials weighing less than 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience working on Commercial Air Conditioning/ Rooftop Units, license not required
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics
• Relevant experience with VFD and PLC programming
• Must be able to lift to 50 lb.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision

Compensation Disclosure
