Qualifications

• License required: Para Educator, Substitute, Professional Educator or Provisional Educator.
• Minimum 60 college hours or a passing score on the ETS Para Pro exam or two Work Keys exams.
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional lessons under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Familiarize with goals for mainstream/IEP students.
• Support functional community-based curriculum as assigned.
• Follow through on set behavioral programs and procedures.
• Document student behavior as directed by the teacher.
• Collaborate with the teacher, prepare and maintain materials.
• Escort students within the building as directed by the classroom teacher.
