Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute medical unit. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, plan and evaluate nursing interventions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

You will educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and contribute to research and quality improvement. Fraser Health offers competitive compensation, four weeks of vacation to start, comprehensive benefits, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with BCCNM.
• Completion of applicable post graduate course work, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops care plans and nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with families and interprofessional teams to implement care.
• Coordinates nursing care and discharge planning.
• Documents assessments, plans and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
• Provides patient education and participates in quality improvement activities.
