Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is hiring a Relief Full Time Registered Nurse for the CCU/ICU, cardiac stepdown and high-acuity units at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC. The role supports direct patient care in an acute medical unit and aligns with BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BCCNM.
• Completion of applicable post graduate course work, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and collects information to diagnose and plan nursing care.
• Collaborates with patients and families to develop and modify care plans.
• Coordinates nursing care and delegates tasks within the care team.
• Teaches patients and families about illness prevention and self-care.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes according to Fraser Health procedures.
