Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the new Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. You will deliver high-acuity cardiac care, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and allied health professionals to drive excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM.
• Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care or equivalent; Arrhythmia interpretation course; 1 year of cardiac monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information; diagnose and plan nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to implement and update care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care, delegate tasks, and refer to team as needed.
• Educate patients and families about health care and self-management.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
