A leading company in natural resource management seeks a full-time forestry leader to coordinate field development of forest roads and cutblocks in beautiful Terrace, BC. This engaging position includes managing and mentoring junior staff while also providing opportunities in diverse natural resource sectors, making it perfect for candidates passionate about forestry and teamwork.
This engaging and exciting, full-time, permanent position provides an opportunity to coordinate and lead the fieldwork component of cutting permit development. This will be largely a field-based position but will also include office time. You will be an integral part of Westland’s forestry team and play a key role in developing junior staff by providing leadership and mentorship. You will also have opportunities to grow and diversify your career in forestry and into other fields of natural resource management.
This position is based in beautiful Terrace, BC, a fun and family-oriented community, with many local amenities and access to arts, culture, and outdoor activities including fishing, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. Most of our work is local, so if you love being home every night, this position would be a great fit for you.

Westland Resources provides natural resource management services to diverse clients throughout BC, managing four forest licences, two forestry licences to cut, two woodlots, a tree farm licence, and future Treaty lands. For over 20 years, our services have included strategic, tactical, and operational advice; research and assessments; development and permitting; operational implementation, monitoring, and supervision; economic and community development; and problem solving. Our clients include First Nations, energy companies, forest licensees, infrastructure developers, and government agencies.

The salary range is $32.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
