Looking for a new opportunity?

We are currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join us as a Credit & Collections Manager based in our Toronto office. The role will report into the Financial Controller and support our offices in Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring all credit terms extended to customers and working directly with our Project Managers and customers to collect overdue amounts.
  • Monitoring and maintaining up-to-date records for all customer accounts.
  • Managing weekly collections meetings for each branch location.
  • Weekly reporting to our Financial Controller and legal collections firms as needed to escalate problem accounts.
  • Standard internal A/R reporting.
  • Assists with the general ledger, monthly closing process, and various accounting and finance functions assigned from the Controller.
  • Create/report regular various A/R reports to Company Finance and Project Managers.
  • Perform a variety of accounting and finance duties including reconciliations of accounts and assisting with customer account analysis.

  • Interest in the construction industry and a willingness to learn and grow within the sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and fun work environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in a credit and/or collections role with strong experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to understand and manage all types of deductions (Retainage, holdback etc.) & general knowledge of contracts.
  • Successful completion of post-secondary degree.
  • Strong administrative abilities, including proficiency in managing documents, spreadsheets & databases.
  • Strong telephone communication skills.
  • Experience with an accounting software package.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
