Job summary

Guillevin International in Burnaby, British Columbia, is seeking a Credit Analyst to manage client portfolios. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will evaluate credit requests from new and existing customers through analysis of financial documents, providing timely recommendations.

Core duties include collections calls, risk assessments, processing payments, setting up new accounts, and coordinating with Business Centre Managers to resolve disputes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position handling high volume B2B collections.
  • Degree in finance, accounting or related education preferred.
  • Experience reading Equifax, Dun & Bradstreet reports for risk assessment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication; professional phone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve conflicts timely.
  • Credit experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain teamwork both internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned by Credit Manager.

Credit Analyst Status: Regular, Full time Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

Job Description Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst is responsible for a portfolio of clients. The analyst evaluates credit requests of new and existing clients through research and analysis of financial documents, and shares its recommendations in a timely fashion.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Make collection calls and follow up regularly to ensure prompt payment received by customers

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position dealing with high volume business to business collections in a fast paced environment
  • Degree in finance, accounting and administration, or other relevant education is preferred
  • Must have experience reading and analyzing Equifax, Dun and Bradstreet reports for risk assessment/credit granting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook (MS Office)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Professional and courteous phone manner
  • Motivated and results oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions in a timely manner
  • Credit experience in the construction industry is an asset
  • Must have exemplary multi-tasking and time management skills
