Job summary

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company combining technology and marketing to help ambitious brands grow. This role centers on Creative Automation, designing and animating templates in After Effects that integrate with Lightspeed to render assets at scale for clients worldwide.

You will be curious, technically-minded, and eager to experiment, enjoying the more technical side of motion design while collaborating across teams. Open to multiple levels with a flexible hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating creative projects with clear technical aspect.
• Deep understanding of Adobe After Effects.
• Comfortable writing and using expressions in After Effects.
• Knowledge of basic principles of JavaScript.
• Interest in third party scripts, plugins, extensions for Adobe software.
• Proactive and self-motivated with strong initiative.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Independent and confident, but works well with others.
• Process-driven and a great communicator.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable creative automation templates in Adobe After Effects.
• Help solve creative challenges with novel and clever technical solutions.
• Become an expert in Lightspeed—our proprietary After Effects extension for building and designing templates.
• Take pride in your work and maintain orderly project files — name your layers clearly.
• Be an ambassador of the entire creative automation team.
