Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a creative automation motion designer to join Global Studios. You’ll design and animate templates in After Effects that integrate with Lightspeed to render assets at scale, maintaining clean project structure and collaborating across teams.

The role targets candidates with a strong portfolio, deep After Effects knowledge, ability to write expressions and some JavaScript, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Hybrid schedule available in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of After Effects and motion design.
• Ability to write expressions in After Effects.
• Familiarity with JavaScript basics and scripting.
• Portfolio demonstrating technical, creative projects.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable creative automation templates in After Effects.
• Solve creative challenges with technical solutions.
• Become an expert in Lightspeed extension.
• Maintain organized project files and naming conventions.
• Represent the creative automation team across departments.
