Job summary

Leavitt Cranes in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a skilled Crane Technician to join our team. You will prepare cranes for set-up and demobilization, perform on-site repairs and maintenance, and support sales and rental services from the Abbotsford facility.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of mechanical crane experience, relevant trade tickets, and strong troubleshooting skills. You will work outdoors, interpret schematics, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety and company

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of prior mechanical experience working with cranes.
• Trade tickets (Millwright, HET, Industrial Electrician, Red Seal) are assets.
• Experience on Terex, Potain, or mobile crane products is an asset.
• Exceptional trouble shooting skills, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineered drawings.
• Weld and cut skills are an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

The Opportunity

Leavitt Cranes is looking for a skilled Crane Technician to join our team in Abbotsford, British Columbia. As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for preparing cranes for set-up and demobilization, on-site repairs and maintenance, and sales and rental services from the Abbotsford facility.

As a Crane Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing crane repairs
• Preparing cranes for set-up and demobilization
• Ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and company safety and operational procedures
• Maintaining accurate records as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• Minimum two years of prior mechanical experience working with cranes
• Millwright, Heavy Equipment Technician, Industrial Electrician Inter-Provincial Red Seal, or Journey Person ticket an asset
• Experience on Terex, Potain, or mobile crane products an asset
• Exceptional trouble shooting skills, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineered drawings
• Weld and cut skills an asset
• Strong communication skills and relationship building skills
• Must be comfortable working outdoors
• Valid driver's license required

The base pay for this role is $55.00 per hour.

This is an onsite role based in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
