Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions seeks a Tower Crane Technician in Abbotsford, BC. The role entails troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and assisting with setup and commissioning of cranes in the Fraser Valley. Travel across BC to Whistler, the Okanagan, and Vancouver Island is expected.

The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with overtime and occasional weekend work. Benefits include health and dental, paid travel time, a company vehicle, per diem for travel, and 3 weeks vacation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct Tower Crane experience required.
• Red Seal Electrician, Millwright, or Heavy Duty Mechanic certification required.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience performing field service, maintenance, and repair work.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on tower cranes.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Assist with crane mobilization, demobilization, erection, testing, and commissioning.
• Respond to field service calls and urgent equipment breakdowns.
• Complete mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Build strong relationships with customers through professional service and communication.

Tower Crane Technician

Abbotsford, BC

Up to $62.48/hour

We are actively searching for an experienced Tower Crane Technician to join a reputable client of ours located in the Fraser Valley. The successful candidate will be completing a mix of field service and shop work with a focus on troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and assisting with the setup and commissioning of cranes and other equipment in and around the lower mainland. There is also some travel involved throughout BC, including Whistler, the Okanagan, Vancouver Island and other surrounding regions.

Job Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on tower cranes
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and control system issues
• Assist with crane mobilization, demobilization, erection, testing, and commissioning
• Respond to field service calls and urgent equipment breakdowns

Schedule

Requirements

• Red Seal Electrician, Millwright, or Heavy Duty Mechanic
• 3+ years of direct Tower Crane experience

• Experience performing field service, maintenance, and repair work
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout British Columbia
• Criminal Record Check
