Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a Craft Recruiter - Industrial West to support the recruitment of hourly craft employees across Western Canada. This role involves posting jobs, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and aiding hiring managers throughout the process.

You will maintain candidate data in the ATS, perform reference checks, help onboarding, attend job fairs, and build strong candidate relationships.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of recruitment, human resources, administration, customer service, or related experience.
  • Strong interest in recruitment, talent acquisition, and the construction industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience using social media platforms for networking and candidate engagement is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process for hourly craft positions across Western Canada.
  • Post jobs on internal and external job boards.
  • Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
  • Schedule interviews and assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintain candidate and employee information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Attend job fairs, industry events, school presentations, and community recruitment initiatives.
  • Build relationships with candidates and provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Assist with sourcing candidates through online job boards, social media, and referral programs.
  • Track recruitment metrics and prepare basic recruitment reports.
  • Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and other recruitment-related activities as assigned.

What You Will Be Working On

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and recruitment events throughout Western Canada
  • Occasional flexibility to attend recruitment events outside of regular business hours
