Job summary

Cowbell General Store in Blyth, Ontario seeks a Retail Associate to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will greet customers, explain product benefits, maintain visual presentation, and process purchases while ensuring accuracy and warmth.

This role requires Smart Serve certification or ability to obtain it, strong communication, cash handling, and familiarity with POS systems.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification or ability to acquire Smart Serve Certification before commencing employment.
• Previous experience working in a customer service environment
• Ability to build rapport with guests by creating an informative and pleasant guest experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience working with computers and/or tablets
• Demonstrated experience handling cash
• Experience working with a POS system (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests of the Cowbell General Store
• Welcoming guests to the Cowbell General Store by actively seeking them out and asking open-ended questions in order to determine their needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of all products and the Cowbell brand by describing benefits and features of products
• Maintain stock levels and visual presentation of merchandise
• Process purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Opening and Closing of the Cowbell General Store: managing cash flow, additional payment methods and inventory count
• Stock beer fridge and put away orders
• Other duties as assigned
