Gauer Olsen Chartered Professional Accountants in Victoria, BC, is seeking a CPA with 3–5 years in public practice to join our team. You will review corporate and personal taxes, prepare Compilation Engagement files and T2 returns, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years working in a public practice role.
• CPA designation is required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Excellent people management and client service.
• Growth-oriented and highly motivated individual.
• Understand clients' business and provide high-quality service.
• Reviewing and preparing Compilation Engagement files and T2 corporate tax returns – intermediate level and above.
• Understand corporate tax balances (CDA, RDTOH, GRIP, etc.).
• Prepare corporate/personal tax planning calculations.
• Reviewing and preparing Canadian personal tax returns – intermediate level and above.
• Fulfils mentoring roles for clients and junior staff.
• Prepare/review GST and other statutory returns as required.
