Job summary

BIS Safety Software in Sherwood Park, Alberta, is seeking a Course Development Quality Control Specialist. You will be the final quality gate for courses, oversee network partner courses, and ensure accuracy across the catalogue.

This in-person, in-office role requires meticulous attention to detail and collaboration across teams to improve processes and prevent issues. Responsibilities include reviewing course submissions, maintaining catalogs, troubleshooting issues with the Customer

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a detail-focused role where accuracy, organization, and follow-through were important.
• Customer-facing experience and confidence communicating directly with clients, partners, or other stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing detailed information, records, or documentation.
• Comfort working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Practical experience using AI tools and an interest in finding ways they can improve workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and test online courses before launch to ensure they meet our quality, accuracy, and functionality standards.
• Manage course setup, including descriptions, keywords, subscriptions, landing pages, pricing coordination, and other catalogue details.
• Take ownership of network partner courses from initial quality review through setup, launch, and ongoing correspondence.
• Review new course submissions against BIS quality standards and clearly communicate required changes to partners and content owners.
• Maintain the accuracy of course development tracking sheets, records, and supporting documentation.
• Own the ongoing maintenance of our course catalogue, including scheduled reviews, course updates, and identifying content that needs to be updated or retired.
• Troubleshoot course-related issues and act as an escalation point for our Customer Experience team.
• Work with Course Development, Customer Experience, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Accounting to keep course information accurate and launches moving forward.
• Help maintain and improve the quality controls within our AI-assisted course development process.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, or automate repetitive quality-control processes.
• Maintain clear policies, procedures, and documentation for course development and quality-control workflows.
