Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst who will play a key role in the establishment and rollout of credit analytics across the Bank. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for Counterparty Credit Risk Systems.
Responsibilities :
- Build a detailed understanding of the various derivative and financing businesses supported by Market Risk & Counterparty Analytics.
- Provide ad-hoc support to Front Office and Credit Management to facilitate trading of existing and new products.
- Review daily counterparty credit risk exposures and investigate any credit anomalies.
- Perform daily analysis of potential future exposure and various capital measures.
- Provide credit-related subject matter expertise for ongoing strategic initiatives within the firm.
- Support data mining and risk reporting for internal or external requests.
- Assess and monitor Counterparty Credit Wrong Way Risk in accordance with the bank’s risk appetite and policies.
- Identify key risks in specific business lines and across the firm, providing ongoing commentary on stress test results.
- Collaborate with Trading desk, Technology, Finance, Model Development, and Credit Management to support credit risk analytics.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments related to risk reporting and capital measures.
- Assist in quantitative aspects of client risk policies involving credit exposures.
- Review risk reports and data to maintain an understanding of key risk issues, engaging with relevant parties.
- Support Technology Solutions in model implementation.
- Enhance methodologies used in client risk analytics continuously.
Desired Skill Set :
- 2-4+ years of Risk Analyst experience with a strong quantitative background.
- At least 2 years of experience with FINRA 4210.
- Experience with data processing.
- Strong exposure to Capital Markets as a Finance or Risk Analyst.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively to complete projects.
Nice To Have :
- Exposure to Basel III requirements.
- CFA or FRM designation.
