Job summary

S.I. Systems Ltd. in Canada is seeking a Project Control Officer (5+ years) to support cost tracking and financial forecasting within government programs.

You will work with finance, manufacturing, supply chain and program teams to monitor budgets, forecast expenses and track invoices. Hybrid role covering Ottawa and Calgary, with EST working hours. Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a supporting Project Cost Control role focused on forecasting and budgeting.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, data extraction, and financial reporting.
• Cost tracking, invoice review, variance reporting, and monthly estimate to complete activities.
• University degree or college diploma in Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Track and report actual program costs on a weekly basis.
• Investigate unplanned actual costs and variances.
• Prepare labour and non-labour task estimates.
• Review invoices to confirm billable items and identify mitigation plans for discrepancies.
• Prepare cost analysis spreadsheets using program templates.
• Support cost briefings for task leads and program management.
• Prepare and track customer travel and material requests.
