Vecima Networks Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to ensure timely, accurate cost information for the Lead Cost Accountant. You will interface with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Finance, and Production to manage inventory standard costs, overhead rates, and monthly analyses.

The role emphasizes monthly cost reporting, variance analysis, and budget preparation, with opportunities to contribute to audits and process improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Experience with standard cost in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA designation an asset.
• Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis.
• Exposure to Oracle ERP and/or ERP implementations an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inventory journal entries from monthly inventory data extracts and reconcile to the balance sheet.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Finance on month-end accruals and transfer entries.
• Perform monthly forecast reporting and analysis to provide cost information to the business.
• Assist in gross margin analysis and overhead rate preparation.
• Review actual vs. budgeted expenses and explain variances.
• Assist with annual budgeting and maintaining standard costs by product line.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain cost reports.
