Job summary

Randstad Canada is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer in Guelph to hire a Cost Accountant who will work on the manufacturing floor with Industrial Engineers to validate data and support cost controls.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation, has 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, and excels in Excel. Proficiency with PowerBI/SQL and ERP systems is an asset.

Qualifications

• CPA designation is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.
• Automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
• Outstanding Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, VLOOKUP).
• PowerBI or SQL is an asset; ERP savvy is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex financial reporting, variance analysis, and close activities.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers and Operations leadership on BOM validation and data integrity.
• Digest large datasets in Excel to identify operational relevance and insights.
• Manage product costing, profitability analysis, and inventory valuation.
