Site Description: Mackenzie Health’s hospitals, including Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, provide comprehensive emergency, outpatient, and specialized services.

Position Details:

• Position: Full-Time Security Guard
• Site: Cortellucci Hospital
• Schedule: Continental Rotation - 0700-1900/1900-0700
• Payrate: $18.73/hour
• Internal Posting Date: April 16, 2025
• Internal Closing Date: April 23, 2025
• External Closing Date: April 30, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patrol hospital grounds and monitor surveillance systems.
2. Control access to restricted areas.
3. Respond quickly to emergencies.
4. Assist visitors, patients, and staff.
5. De-escalate conflicts and document incidents.
6. Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement.
7. Enforce hospital policies.

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• First Aid & CPR - Level C
• Covid-19 vaccination (two doses)
• Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, TB
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Experience in security or law enforcement (preferred)
• Certifications in Use of Force and Management of Aggressive Behavior (or willingness to train)
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
