Atlantic Packaging is seeking a Corrugated Packaging Specialist in Brampton, ON. The role focuses on developing corrugated structures that are production-ready, optimizing dielines for Esko cutting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in structural packaging design, strong ArtiosCAD/Esko skills, and experience with corrugated production. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in structural packaging design, preferably with corrugated products.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD table operations and Esko-enabled cutting/prototyping tables (Kongsberg preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ArtiosCAD or Esko software.
• Experience designing production-ready prototypes and dyelines for digital corrugated production.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of structural packaging and complex corrugated boxes, trays and die-cut items.
• Develop intricate dielines optimized for Esko digital cutting and prototyping tables (Kongsberg preferred).
• Prototype, test, and refine packaging structures for fit, function and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Estimating, and Technical teams to align designs with constraints.
• Guide the design team on best practices and ensure quality across projects.

The Opportunity

The Corrugated Packaging Specialist reports to the Corrugated Structural Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for the development of corrugated products which supports the effective use of machine assets both at Atlantic Packaging and its client base. Deep hands-on experience in structural packaging is key. Corrugated Packaging Specialist works well in a group and individually to create the design of complex corrugated products, provide alternative and / or alternative suggestions. This role requires a strong balance of creativity, technical expertise, and operational knowledge to ensure designs are production-ready and optimized for both protection and presentation.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Sales,Estimating, andTechnicalteams to align designs withboard combinations, assembly, and production constraints.
• Support the design team withguidance on bestpractices andensure design quality across projects.
• Stay current on packaging trends, materials, and technologies to innovate solutions.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of experience in structural packaging design, preferably with corrugated products.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD table operations and experience with Esko-enabled cutting/prototyping tables (Kongsberg preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of ArtiosCAD or equivalent Esko software.
• Proven ability to design production-ready prototypes and dyelines, optimized for digital corrugated and mid to high volume production.
• Understanding of structural engineering principles for corrugated products; distribution, product retention, and assembly efficiency (automatic and / or manual).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products is a benefit.
• Background in premium packaging or other corrugated related fields are an asset.
• Experience in presenting design solutions to clients an asset.
