Job summary

You will work with an inter-professional health care team to deliver comprehensive nursing care in an unconventional setting, adhering to professional standards and correctional security requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently registered in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications.
• Monitor effects, side effects and adverse effects of medications and treatments.
• Report observations to the MD and/or RN.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and charts.
• Maintain a safe, secure and clean environment.
• Communicate with other clinical and correctional professionals.
• Practice according to the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and security requirements.
