Job summary

Bulk Barn Stores Ltd. in Bedford, Nova Scotia, invites a Store Key Holder to join our team and assist the Store Manager and Supervisor with daily operations.

You will coach staff, delegate tasks, manage cash, and help ensure a clean, safe store environment while delivering excellent customer service. Flexibility is required with early mornings, days and evenings across a 12–25 hour week; prior retail experience is an asset, MS Office familiarity is preferred, and a positive, professional

Responsibilities

• In absence of Store Manager, manage staff and ensure Bulk Barn standards are upheld.
• Coach and motivate staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
• Delegate tasks amongst employees.
• Follow-up with employees to ensure tasks are executed correctly and promptly.
• Lead and assist workers in daily tasks.
• Assist customers to exceed their expectations.
• Process cash transactions using POS system and Interact terminal.
• Unload deliveries (in excess of 50 lbs.).
• Ensure the store is kept clean at all times and safe to work in.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

A Store Key Holder assists the Store Manager and Supervisor in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• In absence of Store Manager, manage staff and ensure that Bulk Barn standards are upheld
• Coach and motivate staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities
• Delegate tasks amongst employees
• Follow-up with employees to ensure the tasks are being executed correctly and in a timely manner
• Lead and assist workers in performing their day-to-day tasks
• Assist customers in a manner that exceeds customer expectations
• Process cash transactions using POS system and Interact terminal
• Unload deliveries (in excess of 50 lbs.)
• Ensure the store is kept clean at all times
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time.

Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, days and evenings, Monday through Sunday. Your availability must be approximately 12 to 25 hours per week.
