Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA in Toronto is seeking a Corporate Server & Porter to support daily operations, including cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, dishwashing, and meeting room setup for executive clients. You will work in a corporate hospitality environment and hold required certificates (Food Handler, Smart Serve).

English proficiency and teamwork are essential, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Must hold a Smart Serve Certificate.
• Experience in food services or porter roles is an asset.
• Experience in corporate hospitality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of meeting rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and service of meals, and dishwashing; maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Deliver trays to residents and support event setup as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to supervisor.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $22 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. How you will make an impact: You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, dishwashing along with preparing meeting rooms and event set ups for our executive clients.

As a Corporate Server & Porter, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of meeting rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• You must have a Smart Serve Certificate
• Previous food services, bartending and porter experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the corporate hospitality environment is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
