Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join its finance team in Edmonton, AB.

You will support monthly close, cash management, and intercompany reconciliations while enhancing internal controls and financial reporting across the enterprise. The role reports to the Financial Controller and requires strong MS Excel, detail orientation, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or in progress would be asset.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Advanced Excel and Google Workspace familiarity.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Eligible to work in Canada and reside in Edmonton area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily and month-end journal entries and accruals.
• Assist in month-end financial statements and analyses.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and intercompany reviews.
• Support cash management, including short-term borrowing and FX.
• Process accounts receivable and coordinate with billing on discrepancies.
• Assist with tax and statutory filings (GST, payroll deductions, etc.).
• Analyze lease proposals and manage capital lease reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger and reconciliations.
• Prepare documents for audits and external reviews.
• Support accounts payable with invoicing and subledger reconciliations.
• Maintain training docs and cross-train team members.
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as required.
