Recruiting in Motion is seeking a Corporate Accountant for a hybrid role in Markham, Ontario. You will handle full-cycle accounting, month-end close, forecasting, cash flow management, consolidations, and investment reporting.

This role offers exposure to a CPA mentor in a collaborative finance team. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience, a degree or diploma in accounting/finance, and are pursuing a CPA designation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA in progress.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidations.
• Advanced Excel skills; Sage/Accpac or similar ERP experience; Power BI is a plus.

Corporate Accountant - Hybrid

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, month-end reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, consolidations, and investment reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant pursuing their CPA designation who wants to gain broad exposure, take ownership of their work, and learn from a CPA mentor in a collaborative finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Handle intercompany transactions and support multi-entity consolidations.
• Assist with forecasting, cash flow analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare investment reports and perform investment reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit HST filings and related reports.
• Analyze financial variances, investigate unusual transactions, and identify discrepancies.
• Contribute to process improvements, reporting efficiencies, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Currently pursuing a CPA designation.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Sage/Accpac or a similar ERP system.
• Power BI experience is an asset.
