Job summary

Tourism Whistler, in Whistler, BC, is seeking a Coordinator, Sales Operations for Whistler.com. The role starts on-site with a path to a hybrid schedule after training, reporting to the Sales Operations Manager.

The position supports day-to-day operations, products, inventory and supplier data to ensure accurate bookings and customer satisfaction. Starting salary ranges from CAD 50,000 to CAD 54,000 per year, plus an incentive bonus up to 5%.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Problem-solving with capacity to identify issues and practical solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; build relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; learn reservation, payment and supplier systems

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion and energy
  • Support setup and fulfillment of products and offers sold through Whistler.com and call centre
  • Maintain accurate product information, pricing and inventory in reservation systems
  • Coordinate seasonal inventory changes to ensure timely product availability
  • Collaborate with Web Marketing and Sales to ensure offers are properly set up and displayed on Whistler.com
  • Conduct regular website audits to ensure functionality and product availability
  • Fulfill online bookings and respond to inquiries from the sales operations mailbox
  • Perform quality-control checks to minimize errors and lost revenue
  • Provide operational support to multiple departments across Whistler.com
  • Participate in developing and documenting operational processes and best practices
  • Support additional projects as assigned by the Manager, Sales Operations

Starting Salary: $50,000 - $54,000 annually. This is the starting salary range for this role and may vary based on internal equity, and a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Over and above the base salary and the benefits highlighted above, this position is also eligible for an incentive bonus of up to 5% of the annual salary.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Sales Operations, the Coordinator, Sales Operations plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Whistler.com, Whistler’s official booking channel. This position helps ensure that products, bookings, inventory, and supplier information are managed accurately and efficiently. With a varied mix of responsibilities, this role is well suited to someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful, and who enjoys part of a collaborative team in a busy and engaging sales environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement, and respect.
  • Support the setup and fulfillment of products and offers sold through the Whistler.com website and call centre.
  • Collect and maintain accurate product information, pricing, and inventory availability within reservation systems and supplier extranets.
  • Coordinate seasonal inventory changes to ensure products are available within established timelines.
  • Work with the Specialist, Web Marketing and Sales to ensure promotional offers are set up, displayed, and functioning correctly on Whistler.com.
  • Conduct regular website audits to ensure online functionality is performing as expected and products are available for purchase.
  • Fulfill online bookings and respond accurately and promptly to inquiries received through the sales operation’s mailbox.
  • Perform quality-control checks to ensure booking accuracy and minimize the risk of errors and lost revenue.
  • Provide operational support to various departments across Whistler.com, including Group Sales and Travel Consultants.
  • Participate in the development, testing, communication, and documentation of operational processes and best practices.
  • Support additional projects as assigned by the Manager, Sales Operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and work toward practical solutions
