Job summary

Earnscliffe Strategy Group, a leading Canadian public affairs and communications firm, is seeking a proactive candidate for a full-time, hybrid role located in Toronto. You will support client accounts across land development and housing with research, media monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field; 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in land development and housing is a plus but not required.
  • Previous PR agency experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support project and client teams with research, media and social monitoring, and basic analysis.
  • Assist in preparing client-facing materials: presentations, key messages, press releases, media advisories, reports.
  • Conduct media and stakeholder outreach and track responses.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, interviews, and events.
  • Track project timelines and budgets, including time tracking and invoicing.

Salary Range: $45,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually

From advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement to branding, content, and digital communications, we help clients move their objectives forward through strategies that are clear, creative, and effective.

As part of our Public Relations team, you will support a variety of client accounts and communications programs across sectors, including land development and housing. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will gain exposure to media relations, stakeholder engagement, content development, event planning and management, and integrated communications in a collaborative agency environment.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Support project and client teams by conducting research, media and social monitoring and basic analysis to inform reports and recommendations, across a range of sectors, including land development and housing.
  • Assist in the preparation and development of client-facing materials which may include, presentations, key message documents, press releases, media advisories, reports, media and/or stakeholder lists.
  • Conduct media and stakeholder outreach, track responses and update lists.
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative tasks for meetings, interviews, community meetings and consumer or influencer events.
  • Track project timelines and budgets, including time tracking and invoice generation.
  • Ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted on time in collaboration with more senior team members.
  • Maintain organized documentation and contribute to resource development to support internal and client work.
  • Participate in brainstorms, agency staff meetings and ongoing agency training.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field, with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Experience within the land development and housing sector is not required but would be preferred.
  • Previous PR agency experience would be considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint), research, and digital platforms; familiarity with social media is an asset for some areas.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects or assignments simultaneously with a high level of organization.
  • Quickly absorbs new processes, terminology, and content relevant to clients, projects or industries.
  • Handles a range of responsibilities, from research to administrative execution.
  • Demonstrates commitment to completing tasks on time and to the expected standard.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication, particularly in formatting reports and professional correspondence.
  • Consistently accurate in handling data, documents and communications.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Takes initiative in solving problems and finding relevant information or tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to client and project objectives.

This position is a full-time, permanent, hybrid role and is open to candidates located in Toronto.
