Job summary

BC Housing in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Access & Assessment Coordinator to lead the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative at the community level, collaborating with partners to place homeless or hard-to-house individuals into appropriate programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience with homeless populations, strong knowledge of mental health and addiction housing models, and excellent interpersonal and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or other relevant field.
  • Progressive experience with homeless populations or diverse communities with complex needs.
  • Equivalent education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation of the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative at the community level.
  • Collaborate with community partners to place applicants in appropriate programs.
  • Assess applicants and assign to programs and vacancies, improving coordination and service quality.
