Job summary

T&T Supermarket Inc. is seeking a Produce Cooler Keeper in Canada. The role focuses on managing the produce storage area and coolers, while providing excellent customer service to fulfill requests, maintain inventory, and ensure cleanliness across the workspace.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspections, FIFO inventory, proper display, packing and labeling, and contributing to a safe, organized environment. Shift work and physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Be prepared to stand long periods and handle products with hands-on tasks.
• Work in a low temperature environment (0–4 °C) regularly.
• Knowledge of basic work safety is required.
• Not allergic to handling produce products.
• Relevant experience in handling produce is preferred.
• Friendly with a passion for serving customers.
• Shifts include weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Produce Cooler Keeper is responsible for managing produce storage area, including coolers. The position also requires providing good customer service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, maintaining inventory and ensuring workplace cleanliness.

You Will

• Manage the receiving of products, conduct quality inspections and place products in the store
• Maintain inventory and product quality; follow FIFO principle; and ensure proper display of various products
• Sort, pack, and label various produce products and place them in the storage & promotion coolers
• Maintain storage area cleanliness, and ensure that relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
• Keep warehouse, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
• Follow procedures to process produce inventory control reports
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

You Should Have / Be

• Be prepared to stand long periods and to handle products with hands-on task, including lifting products of up to 40 pounds regularly
• Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃) environment regularly
• Knowledge of basic work safety
• Not allergic to handling produce products
• Relevant experience in handling produce products is preferred
• Friendly and have a passion for serving our customers
• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
