Job summary

Mario’s Kitchen in Delta (Tsawwassen), BC and Gracie’s Next Door in Delta are hiring for cooks and chefs. Positions involve preparing meals, planning menus and supervising kitchen staff across two outlets.

Cooks earn CAD 20.00–26.00/hour (30–35 hours/week, full-time). Chefs earn CAD 38.40/hour (minimum 30 hours/week). At least 2–3 years of experience required; benefits after 1 year; please email resume to [e-mail].

CHEFS

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants in an establishment, namely Mario’s Kitchen OR Gracie’s Next Door.
• Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs.
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks.
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• Help recruit and hire staff.
• May prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
