Job description

Chicken Chef Flin Flon is a family restaurant with dine in and take out service.

Chicken Chef Flin Flon is looking to hire Cooks to join their team in Flin Flon, MB located at 130 Hwy #10 A South, 130 MB-10 Alt, Flin Flon, MB, R8A 0C6

We offer:

  • Wage: $17.50 per hour

Terms of employment:

  • Permanent, Full time
  • Job start date: As soon as possible
  • Benefits: Group insurance benefits after 6 months of employment

Specific Skills:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Season and cook food according to the recipes
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils
  • Ensure quality of food meet standards
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Maintain inventory of workstation
  • Monitor and order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Ensure quality of food meet standards
  • Clean your work area
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Open availability including weekends and holidays
  • Work Setting: Restaurant, Urban area
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure
