Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Canada is seeking a Cook to prepare meals according to standardized recipes and menus while maintaining a safe, clean kitchen. You will follow dietary requirements, record temperatures, and ensure meals meet quality and presentation standards.

In this role you will stock and rotate food, maintain logs, support dishwashing and dining service, and lead production when the Dining Services Coordinator is away, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.

• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
• You help create an enjoyable dining experience while ensuring safety and compliance
