Job description

RED Mountain Resort is seeking an enthusiastic Cook to join our team for the 2025 Summer Season! As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in our organization and are responsible for feeding our guests. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, experience, and a strong work ethic. You will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy working hard while having fun. This role includes line cook responsibilities, cleaning, stocking, opening duties, and closing the kitchen at the end of the day.

The anticipated start date for this position is June 2025, ending in October 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food items according to the Resort’s quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperatures and served promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including work stations and equipment.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and food items.
  • Assist in kitchen prep work.
  • Work efficiently with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Must have a Food Safe Certificate.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work on your feet for long periods.
  • Able to carry stock up several flights of stairs.
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends.
Skills & Abilities
  • Must have exceptional work habits, including punctuality and responsibility.
  • Enjoy working alone and under pressure, as well as in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and cooking skills, including understanding and anticipating customer needs.
  • Outgoing personality and high standards of quality.
  • Enjoy working with the public and handling the pressures of a busy environment.
