Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with corporate standards and quality service. You will cook and pre-cook, set up mise en place, and ensure safety and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in restaurant or prep cook roles.
• Food Safety Certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and cook food as directed.
• Prepare mise en place for high-volume production.

• Report needed maintenance or accidents to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Prepares food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.

The hourly wage for this role is $20.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare "mise en place" (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and otherproducts as required for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
