Join RhynoCare Staffing Solutions as a Cook in Ottawa. We are seeking skilled and passionate cooks to join our culinary team in various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, and private practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and menu plans.
• Ensure meals are served at the correct temperature and in a timely manner.
• Assist with serving meals to residents, respecting their food preferences.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food storage and handling.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
• Participate in special events and catering as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience working in a long-term care facility is mandatory.
• Completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program compliant with Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
• Chef/Cook Certification from a recognized college, preferably Red Seal.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate (must be kept up to date).
• Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination per Ontario guidelines.
