Location: Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 2E9 (on site). Salary: $23.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. Employment: Permanent full-time. Shift: day/night. Start: ASAP. Vacancy: 1.

Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare and cook special meals for customers as instructed by chef.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Set up and oversee buffets.
• Clean kitchen and work area.
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
• Hire and train kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with Japanese cuisine.
• Customer focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organised, reliability, team player, time management.
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads (45-60 kg), standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, work under pressure.
• Criminal record check, medical exam, basic security clearance required.
• Willingness to use public transportation or travel as needed.
