Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff.
- Follow instructions from the executive or sous chef.
- Clean up station and manage leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure food is prepared simultaneously, with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
